The Bayelsa State Vigilante Service has arrested a notorious thief who specialises in burgling cars along Sani Abacha Expressway. He was arrested in the early hours of Thursday by men of the Urban Surveillance Unit of the service following a tipoff.
Speaking to newsmen shortly before handing over the suspect to the police authorities, Chairman, Evangelist Parkins Ogede said he will not rest until criminal activities of youths are reduced in the state.
He said, the prime suspect was caught burgling a man’s car along Sani Abacha Expressway before luck ran out of him when the owner raised alarm which culminated to his arrest.
According to Evangelist Ogede, with the incriminating evidence before him, the suspect would be prosecuted. He further used the occasion to called on members of the public to give useful information that could lead to the apprehension of criminal elements in the state.
